Get to Know Shawn

Shawn is an Executive Leadership Coach and Six Sigma Black Belt who combines both disciplines to guide executives within organizations to discover their own custom, human and data driven solutions to any challenge.

Shawn’s expansive career includes most recently serving as the Director of the Executive Strategy Group, and the Deputy Chief Learning Officer of the Central Intelligence Agency, where he led some of the most complex and multi-faceted leadership initiatives, challenges, and innovations. He has been a recurring guest lecturer and faculty for the U.S. Naval Academy, Shenandoah University, the Intelligence Community (IC), and worked with both the National Leadership Institute and Center for Leadership Development in Yerevan, Armenia, to develop their next generation of leaders.

Shawn has a vast track record of several decades of success in dozens of highly sensitive, highly political environments in senior learning and development roles, process improvement, and program management. He is well respected for his unquestioned integrity, vibrant and positive approach, and for his unique intuition, skills, and capacity to strengthen and empower already-exceptional leaders. His thoughtful insights create client pathways to new ideas, awareness, and results, while simultaneously supporting the ability to execute complex multi-year business strategies with measurable outcomes.

Shawn has extensive experience developing and delivering specialized coaching and training programs based on specific employee and leadership needs. He is a retired Naval Officer with a B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy in Political Science and an M.S. in Management Information Systems from The George Washington University. He received his Executive Coach training from Georgetown University and his Six Sigma Black Belt from Breakthrough Management Group. He recently retired from the federal government’s Senior Intelligence Service, is certified in more than nine psychometric instruments and assessments, and holds a TS/SCI, with polygraph, level clearance.
